msw sorting line in latvia

Assembling the Most Advanced Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Sorting Line in the Baltics

Our team is proud to announce the commencement of assembling the most advanced Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) and Packaging Waste Sorting Plant for Eco Baltia, located in Acone, Salaspils Municipality, Latvia. This project represents a significant leap forward in the Baltic region's waste management and recycling capabilities.

Key Features of the Facility

The new facility is designed to handle impressive volumes of waste, with the capacity to sort:

  • 30 tons of Municipal Solid Waste per hour
  • 7 tons of Packaging Waste per hour

These capacities will enable the plant to process large amounts of waste efficiently, significantly enhancing the region's waste management infrastructure.

Our Role in the Project

For this project, we are delivering a comprehensive suite of services to ensure the successful commissioning of the combined sorting line for both Municipal Solid Waste and Packaging Waste. Our involvement includes:

1
Design and Engineering
Crafting customized solutions to meet the specific needs of the facility, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
2
Equipment Supply
Providing advanced machinery and technology for sorting and processing waste, including conveyors, separators, and balers.
3
Installation and Commissioning
Overseeing the installation of all equipment and ensuring the sorting line operates smoothly from the start.
4
Training and Support
Offering extensive training for Eco Baltia's staff and ongoing technical support to maintain high operational standards.

Why This Project Matters

1
Environmental Impact
This advanced sorting facility will play a crucial role in reducing landfill waste and increasing the recycling rates of both MSW and packaging waste. By sorting and processing waste more effectively, we contribute to a cleaner environment and a more sustainable future.
2
Technological Advancement
Incorporating cutting-edge technology, this facility sets a new standard for waste sorting plants in the Baltic region. It showcases how modern technology can be leveraged to solve environmental challenges.
3
Economic Benefits
The facility will create job opportunities and stimulate the local economy. Additionally, by recovering valuable secondary raw materials from waste, it supports a circular economy and reduces the need for virgin materials.

Looking Ahead

Azortum's team is excited about this project's progress and its positive impact on waste management in Latvia and beyond. Stay tuned for more updates as we move forward with the assembly and commissioning of the most advanced MSW sorting line in the Baltics.
